11. Submit to search engines

Again, this is a step that should only be handled by a professional.
Submitting to a search engine must always be done by hand. Anytime you use one of those automated "Submit your site to 800,000 search engines" programs, you will destroy your chances of getting listed with anyone. The reason this is true is because search engines have a ethical consideration in place where they want to provide the most relevant links to their users. If they get hundred of thousands of these automated requests, they will likely ignore all of them know the site owners were to lazy to submit their site manually.

They will record the website URL and blacklist it as being a submission spammer.

To make a long story short, only submit to the best search engines. There are about 15 that supply 95% of the web's traffic. Why would you waste your time with the other 5%?
